2nd Baby Albert finished!

Finished #2 Baby Albert Jacket!

This time, I weaved the shoulder seam and knit the sleeves in the round on two circulars. I knitted the sleeves straight for 25 ridges, then decreased to 40 stitches evenly, and did 6 ridges for cuff.

Much better shaped sleeve IMHO!

Patons Bluebell (5 ply) on 3.75 mm needles. Hat made up as I went along. Socks are North Country Cotton Baby Socks (free pattern on internet)

Buttons are from Dave Rundel - daverun on ebay.com !

Any chance you'll post the pattern for the Baby Albert? I'm just getting into knitting sweaters for my little granddaughter; this one looks so easy.

Also, if you don't mind my asking, how does one reverse the pattern on one side of the sweater? I know this must be easy, but I can't quite picture how it's done.

Hi "Mrs Homebody"

You didn't leave an email address so I can't reply to you personally!

The Baby albert Pattern isin "The Knitting Experience: 1 The Knit Stitch" by Sally Melville - this is a book I can highly recommend for beginners and expert knitters alike - so much helpful info.

When you say reverse a pattern - do you mean reverse the shaping??? If you go to www.knittinghelp.com you will find videos that explain lots of knitting techniques like this.

Hope this helps

Hello, I would love to make this for my grandaughter. I bought the book and found the pattern. However, it looks like it is just for 0-12 months. My grand daughter is almost 2 (chest size 19 ") is there a pattern for her available? I love the look of this sweater and would really appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Greetings!

I got the book for this great sweater today. I will be using different yarn. What was your gauge and how much yarn did you need? I don't know if I have enough to make the middle size.

Thanks,

Cindy
