These lovely galahs are right on the shore line here. Catching the light of the setting sun, their rose pink shows up so well!!

Galahs are much more prevalent nowadays - when I first came to Brisbane in 1966, they seemed much rarer in the built up areas. In places like Tambo in western Queensland, they gather literally in hundreds!
